House and Senate Bills and ResolutionsAs part of the Library of Congress American Memory Project, The Bills and Resolutions are available for selected sessions of Congress, beginning with the 6th Congress (1799)in the House of Representatives, the 16th Congress (1819) in the Senate, and the 18th Congress (1823) for Senate Joint Resolutions. This resource is unique, the first and only comprehensive collection of 19th century Congressional bills and Resolutions. Each document appears as a low-resolution .gif image within an explantory web page. Option for higher resolution .tif image is offered. Coverage for all three subcollections ends with the 42nd Congress (1817-1873).
