New York Times Access Pass (1851 to present; subscription trial ends 12/31/2023)The New York Times Access Pass site allows the user to create a personal New York Times account, with logon and password, which may then be used with a browser or mobile app from any location. See a video on the activation process. Access includes news articles from 1851 to present; multimedia; podcasts and newsletters; an education site; and Spanish and Mandarin Chinese versions. The trial subscription for 2023 is being supported by gift funds; renewal in future years depends on availability of regular acquisition funding.
