U.S. Congressional Serial SetThe U.S. Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1994, aids research on U.S. political, social, cultural, military and ethnic history, as well as international relations, explorations, genealogy, commerce, industrial development and much more. Contents also include key Executive Department publications. Beginning with Volume 1 in the first session of the 15th Congress (1817), the U.S. Congressional Serial Set from Readex contains all publications from the 15th through the 103rd Congresses. The American State Papers, 1789-1838, which contains every legislative and executive document of the 1st through 14th Congresses, complements the U.S. Congressional Serial Set and is cross-searchable with it. The database contains more than 12 million pages, including thousands of maps, illustrations, and statistical tables.

U.S. Congressional Serial Set MapsThe U.S. Congressional Serial Set Maps collection of approximately 1,500 maps has been selected based on topics in the material antebellum, civil war and reconstruction related topics covered in the material published by Congress between 1843 and 1935. These maps were published in the documents and reports of the U.S. Congressional Serial Set. Readex has created this maps search module (in addition to that for the Serial Set) to focus searches on maps themselves - the geographic areas they depict, the subjects they represent, their titles, and the names associated with the maps either as cartographers, explorers, or in some other capacity.
