American AncestorsAmerican Ancestors is a resource from the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) that provides cross-database searching for hundreds of digitized sources, such as vital records; passenger lists; maps; court, census, and military records; and more. The geographical focus is the New England states, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, with some New York content. Also includes access to many serials, including NEHGS titles American Ancestors magazine and The New England Historical and Genealogical Register. Note: Access is provided from all computers within the Fogler Library building and Bangor Public Library, but there is no remote access.
